  The pottery itself is beautiful....if you can find somewhere to buy it. I spent an hour driving around looking for their location close to the confederation bridge today. Due some skillful googling and telephone calls and a visit to the info Centre, I was able to get a hold of someone. Despite the open hours displayed on Google they were not open, and not overly helpful on the phone. If you get past the lack of (poor) signage and contact info, you'll be really quite pleased with the pottery.

  Island Stoneware goes through tonnes of clay per year, and since every piece is handcrafted, there is waste. But 100% of pre-fired clay waste resulting from production is recycled for reuse. This not only allows us to control raw material costs which of course allows us to keep our item costs affordable.

  Went there to get matching bowls for our plates. Though when we went there they were closed and not to open until 12. We walked around for an hour. We went back at 12:15 the store was still closed and doors were locked. We could hear someone working. i love supporting local but we could wait any longer for the store to open.
